Featuring the artwork of two NASCD graduates, Monica Sugg & Susan Whidden. Each artist is strongly inspired by nature and animals and often incorporate this theme into their work. Collectively the two artists decided to showcase their paintings representing their diverse range of style. This pop-up gallery is definitely not one to miss - come and take a walk on the wide side!
There is something vital about living by and connecting with moving water. The King's Court Gazebo is a perfect spot for an Afterglow Nia debut! Nia is a movement practice that blends moves from dance, martial arts and healing arts. Bringing conscious awareness to sensation is the goal, and feeling the joy of movement is the result!
This summer, Nia on the South Shore has enjoyed four lovely evenings of Nia in the gazebo at Shipyard's Landing. Moving in the open air is such a wonderful way to connect to the natural world...so it will add a layer of intrigue to do Nia after dark! The Nia demo is an opportunity for everybody - all ages, all abilities, all levels of fitness - to experience some mindful movement with wonderful music. All of the songs for this time are somehow connected to the water. Take me to the river! To learn more about Nia on the South Shore, you can go here. To get a peek, watch the video below. Thanks to Picnic Studios for creating such a wonderful little film. Nia on the South Shore from PicnicStudios on Vimeo. |
